The Richwood Coffee vision was to connect community and purpose. As the world moves faster and schedules get busier, we needed to create a solution for our customers, friends and neighbors to see the bank as a destination…an interaction vs. a transaction.

By creating a coffee shop with quality drinks, a comfortable lounge and free WiFi we were on the right path – but what about purpose? Richwood Bank’s 150+ years of success was built on the dedication to our communities. When we all grow, we all win. So why not make our coffee model unique? What if we gave it all back to the non-profit partners we have and let people choose where it goes?

In less than 2 years, our pilot launch resulted in 15% traffic increase to our banking side and more than $51,000 in donations (August 26th 2015 – March 31st 2017) and more than 32,000 cups of hot and cold drinks served!

By the way, if you have any banking needs or questions, Richwood Bank’s trusted and friendly advisors are only a few feet away, ready to provide the guidance you need to make the most of your finances.

Meet our Baristas

Madison- Meet Madison! You can find this career-driven barista at our Delaware coffee shop. She’s currently a senior in high school, and plans to study interior design or physical therapy in college. After college, she’d like to go straight into her career and eventually own her own business. Her mantra: “I can accomplish anything I want to accomplish.”

Tami- Looking for a fun, semi-retirement job, Richwood Coffee was the perfect fit for Tami. She loves coffee and being around people – the perfect combo! Her favorite coffee drink is the Iced Caramel Macchiato. Tami was born and raised in Richwood, moved away for 18 years, living in England for three years, and then moved to that state up north. Tami and her husband have two grown children and two four-legged golden doodle kids.

Lori- Lori is a people pleaser. What better way to do that than serve coffee and specialty drinks to customers! Lori enjoys the great outdoors by jogging, biking and walking. She has two sons and four grandchildren. Believe it or not, even with all of the options in the coffee shop, Lori’s favorite drink is black coffee with vanilla creamer.

Holly- Meet Holly, one of our baristas at our Richwood location! She is a morning person and is one who utilizes our sugar free options. If you have a drink in mind but don’t know how to order it, Holly is your girl, she knows the ins and outs of our menu like a pro. One visit or one hundred visits, Holly makes everyone feel like family because she always remembers her customer’s names. Come in and see her!

Paula- Paula is also a barista at the Richwood location. Paula’s motto is “if there is time to lean, there is time to clean!” Between that and her bubbly personality, she is always on the move. She prefers her coffee without frills and you’ll never find her without a smile on her face. Paula can hold a conversation and make as many drinks as you need all at once. Her multi-tasking skills are impressive! Ask her about our drink choices, she won’t steer you wrong!

Tailor- Tailor is among one of our lovely baristas at our Richwood location. When she isn’t running around the coffee shop she is attending her college courses. Tailor doesn’t drink much coffee but is a fan of our Snowbank beverages. Though she may seem shy, she is easy to talk to and always happy to see you. You can catch her most Saturday mornings manning the coffee shop, and even though she is more of a night owl, you would never know it to see her bright and early.

Terri- Terri is one of our newest coffee baristas. You’ll always be greeted with a smile from Terri. She’s one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet and says the one word that describes her best is “happy.” Her favorite Richwood coffee drink: Her own concoction of our coffee with a splash of hazelnut and a tad cream. When she’s not working in the coffee shop, Terri and her husband like to go RV camping along with their Airedale dog named Kate.
Laura- Laura’s usually up bright and early taking on the morning shift. She loves to hear people’s stories and learning about what’s going on in their lives. She says knowing those little pieces about their day can really make a difference. Laura loves to experiment with drinks. Right now, her favorites are both the cinnamon honey protein snowbank and a raspberry iced chai. When Laura isn’t working at Richwood Coffee, she’s scooping ice cream working at her other job at Jeni’s Ice Cream. Fun fact about Laura – she’s been to 20 different countries!
